UPSC Indian Forest Service Exam 2014 Notification, Apply Online

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a Screening Test for selection to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2014 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2014 which will be held on 24th August, 2014. Eligible Indian National candidates Apply Online Application Form on or before 30th June 2014.

 Minimum Educational Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions estab­lished by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Place of Examination: The Indian Forest Service Examination will consist of two successive stages:-

(1) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; (AND)
(2) Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the Indian
Forest Service. Applications are now invited for the Preliminary Examination only. Candidates who will be declared by the Commission to have qualified for admission to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination will have to apply again, in the Online Detailed Application Form which would be made available on the Website of the Commission after declaration of Results of Preliminary Examination. The Main Examination is likely to be held in November, 2014.

Application Fee: General and OBC Category Candidates applying  for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (include Indian FOrest Service) are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. The fee excepting Female/ SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee. The last date for paying application fee (Pay by Cash Online or Offline Mode) is 29th June 2014 up to 23:59 Hours.

How To Apply: Candidates are required to apply Online through Official website for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination which will act as a screening mechanism for selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination. The Online Applications can be filled upto 30/06/2014 till 11.59 PM.
