Educational Qualifications: A good Master’s degree, should have passed either departmental examination in accounts conducted by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, Controller General of Accounts, Accounts Department of the Ministry of Railways of Accounts Department of Posts & Telegraphs Department or should have at least 5 years ‘experience of finanization of accounts, exercising financial control, compilation of budget etc., at least at section officer’s level in the national research councils, universities or autonomous research institutions set up by the Government. The retired persons having relevant qualifications/experience may also be considered as per Govt. norms.
