Forest Survey of India (FSI) Dehradun invites application from eligible persons for ten (10) positions of Technical Associates (TA/JRF) on contractual basis for Digital Image Processing (DIP)/Geographical Information System (GIS) related work, on a short-term basis initially for a period of six months. Eligible Post Graduate candidates are required to appear Walk in Test & Interview on 30th June 2014.

Qualification & Experience:
(a) Essential - M.Sc./B.E/B.Tech/MCA from recognized University/ Institute with some experience of remote sensing & GIS application (Special paper, project, dissertation, work experience etc.)
(b) Desirable - Diploma/Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS applications. Preference will be given to UGC/CSIR/NET qualified candidates.
(c) Experience - 6 month's experience of working in Digital Image Processing (DIP) and GIS softwares.

Selection Process: Walk in Written Test and Interview. Candidates have to appear for written test, and if qualified, have to appear for an hand-on-test followed by interview on 30/06/2014. If the number of candidates is more, the selection process will continue for one more day. The venue for the test is Forest Survey of India, Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun-248195, Uttarakhand. All the aspiring candidates must reach the venue by 9:00 a.m. Candidates who arrive after 9:30 a.m. will not be considered.
Note: Candidates should bring their bio-data, original certificates of education qualification and work experience along with attested copies and two passport size photographs. Application should include information about the candidate in the following headings: name, father's/husband's name, address for correspondence, permanent address, date of birth, telephone numbers, email address, educational qualification, work experience etc.
